Penalty Box Basic (No button)

Description

Introducing the all new “Penalty Box” by Viper scale racing. The penalty box eliminates the need for turn marshals while Club racing. The penalty box is essentially a track call button delay that the racers hit if they crash. It has a programmable delay(penalty) ranging from 1.5 seconds to 10 seconds. If you crash you hit the button and WAIT. All other racers will race while the countdown is happening thus Penalizing you. Once the track power turns off you will be able to retrieve your car, place it back on the track and hit the button again. The power will turn back on and everyone will be racing again. Rinse and repeat !!!  

The Penalty Box opens up a lot of possibilities.  It allows clubs or individual groups to race with as few as 2 racers, It also allows new track designs due to unreachable areas for turn marshals. In addition it also  allows you to run the track against the wall which makes more room for space or more room for track in the same space. It’s not gonna change HOPRA type racing but it should allow home clubs to expand their offerings

Please note this unit only works with Timing systems that have utilize the track call function.

• (1) 12″ leads (Connect to your Trackmate or equivalent
• (1) DC power supply
• The basic is intended to be used on tracks with preexisting Track call buttons
